The San Luis Valley in Colorado is a real hot spot for UFO activity and is one of the most paranormal rich area’s in the United States. There have been UFO sightings in this area going all the way back to the 1600’s. These UFO sightings have continued over the years and has attracted many UFO enthusiasts to the area. In fact the area has become such a UFO hot spot that it has its own special UFO Watchtower.
Back in 1995 Judy Messoline moved to the San Luis Valley to raise cattle but after hearing many UFO stories from the locals she became intrigued and she would eventually abandon here cattle farm idea. In 2000 she decided to build the UFO Watchtower , a rectangular metal platform that stands approximately 10 feet high and can hold up to 60 people. Since its construction in 2000 there have been an estimated 20,000 people from around the world who have made their way to the tower hoping to get a glimpse of something otherworldly. The UFO Watchtower is built on a 600 acre piece of land owned by Messoline just outside the town of Hooper, Colorado with views of the Rocky Mountains by day and wonderful views of the incredibly clear skies.
Since the UFO Watchtower has been has been constructed there have been nearly 60 UFO sightings and Messoline claims that she has had 26 UFO sightings of her own. Messoline said that they see objects that cannot be explained like lights that go extremely fast and come to complete stops sometimes going in one direction and suddenly go in the opposite direction. She also said the closest suspected UFO sighted was seen between the tower and the mountains and it was cigar-shaped – really narrow and real long – and was illuminated from with in and over a dozen people witnessed the sighting.
Messoline says she believes the location is such a UFO hot spot because of the spirituality of the valley as the native Americans of the area considered the valley floor to be a sacred place. The UFO Watchtower is always open to the public for a small fee of $2 per person or $5 per vehicle which ever is cheaper so you can’t beat the price says Messoline.
